On this week's episode of Art on the Air we're pleased to welcome one of my "Savannah Heroes," none other than Patt Gunn into the studio, with special guest co-host Alexis Javier "AJ" Perez!
Gunn is the CEO of Underground Tours Savannah, the founder and Executive Director of the Geechee Institute, and has recently opened the Savannah Gallery on Slavery and Healing! She's also the driving force behind the yearly Jubilee Freedom Day festivities, and has an extensive history of working to empower others.
Plus we aired a Field Note centered around the work of Philip Davis from the Jubilee Day discussion circle at the Savannah Cultural Arts Center held on January 11th, 2020.
This is an episode that you won't want to miss!

Art on the Air with Angela Burson and José Ray
Tuesday Oct 22, 2019
Tuesday Oct 22, 2019
We're excited to invite Angela Burson into the studio for this week's episode of Art on the Air!
We spoke about her upcoming exhibition Peep Show, "a solo show displaying the artists’ fondness for anachronistic images of fashion and objects. Her interest in the surreal connection between realistic subject matter and flat repetitive pattern brings a personal environment that makes mid-century modern simultaneously charming and a little bit naughty." (from Location Gallery)
PLUS, we broadcast our Field Note with José Ray all about his exhibition Flora: a collection of large scale mixed media works by José Ray!
AND we check in with our good friend David Laughlin down at City Market!
Art for your ears!
