BIG episode this week folks, with two extended Field Notes!
First, we broadcast our long sit down with SCAD alum Stephanie Howard, where we delved deep into her artistic roots, as well as her excellent exhibition "Southern Arcana," currently on-view at Laney Contemporary!
Then, we shared our chat with one of Savannah's premiere curators Rachel Reese, who is moving on from the Telfair Museums Jepson Center for The Arts to take over the Cress Gallery of Art in Chattanooga. The Savannah arts community will miss her deeply, and I know that you'll enjoy hearing from her on Art on the Air one last time before she begins this exciting new chapter in her life.

An honor and a treat to talk live in the studio this week with Katherine Sandoz, about her latest exhibition at the Laney Contemporary Gallery, “Vernonburg”, her many other works, collaborations and insights, and why, after all this time, she still works out of a barn. Also a Field Note with Anya Mitchell giving us all the details on her deep fabric exhibition “Lineage,” currently on view at Starland Cafe and Catering! Enjoy listening to these two wonderful guests. We did!

We journey into the field this week, with three on-site interviews!
We head down to the Jepson Center to have a nice, long discussion with Curator Rachel Reese and Artist Suzanne Jackson all about Suzanne’s “Five Decades” career survey exhibition, opening June 28th!
We pop on over to a local coffee shop to sit down with illustrator Kristen Haffke to get all of the details on the book project she’s just completed work for, a lovely children’s story called “Willow & Oliver in The Case of the Missing Sock,” produced in collaboration with NYT best-selling author of ‘Pete the Cat’ Kim Dean!
And we catch up with Kevin Clancy at their new project space “The Hen House!”
